Collaborative robots – The COBOTS
Repetitive operations
Repeat the same process for hours under the same pattern of conditions controlled by the operator. Performing movements with a programmed force, a constant speed and fixed acceleration would be unfeasible without the intervention of robots. For this reason, robots are widely used in the testing process of a product prior to its market launch.
Non-ergonomic operations
Movements that are carried out in series can be substituted by a robot, thus avoiding forced postures of the operators or the manual handling of loads that can cause injuries.
Low value-added operations
In this case, collaboration can also be established between robots and peripheral equipment to carry out operations that do not require the direct intervention of operators, such as the loading of raw material for manufacturing, leaving the workers more free to dedicate themselves to more specific functions.
